Don’t add color to your hummingbird nectar! Don’t buy premixed red sugar for your hummingbirds! Make your own hummingbird nectar for healthier hummingbirds and to save money!
Nectar Mixing Directions: 4 parts water to 1 part regular white cane or beet sugar. Boil water, remove from heat, add sugar, mix, and cool. Replace your hummingbird nectar every 3-5 days. The warmer your climate the more often your feeders should be cleaned and new nectar added.
